Recap
The Isotopes lineup wasn’t able to handle the Aviators’ potent offense on Tuesday, giving up 10 runs and 15 hits. Greg Jones and Hunter Stovall provided some of the few bright spots of the game, collecting two hits each. Lefty Juan Hillman got the start and the loss, giving up 2 runs in 3 innings.
The ‘Topes couldn’t bounce back on Wednesday, losing 3-5. Greg Jones added his 14th homer of the year, while Hunter Stovall added 2 RBI’s. Josh Rogers got the loss giving up 5 runs in 5 innings. Andrew Quezada put together a solid performance in the bullpen, tossing 3 scoreless innings.
In an offensive slugfest that saw 25 hits and 14 runs scored in the game, the Isotopes came out on the losing side 6-8. Grant Lavigne had an amazing game collecting three hits and two rbi’s, while AJ Lewis and Jameson Hannah added two hits each. Greg Jones hit his 15th home run of the season. Karl Kauffmann got the loss giving up 7 runs in 4 innings.
Despite giving up 7 runs in the 1st inning, the Isotopes managed a great comeback that saw them winning 16-14 in extra innings. The team had a chance to win the 9th inning being up by 4 runs, but the Aviators came back before the ‘Topes scored a run walk-off thanks to an Elehuris Montero homer. Jimmy Herron and AJ Lewis had three hits, with Sean Clifford collecting his first hit in his first pro game. Montero had two homers in the game, Daniel Cope added a homer, and Greg Jones hit his third home run in as many games. Peyton Battenfield got the start but struggled mightily giving up 7 runs in 0.2 innings. John Curtiss got the win by tossing 2 scoreless in relief.
The series closed out with a 3-12 Isotopes loss. Zac Veen had 3 hits and a homer, while Jimmy Herron added two hits. Carson Palmquist got the start and the loss, striking out 3 and giving up 5 runs in 2 innings. Matt Koch put together a solid outing in relief, striking out 2 in 2 scoreless innings.

The series against the Akron RubberDucks got off to a rough start, as the Goats lost 3-4. The lineup struggled to get things going, collecting only 4 hits. Sterlin Thompson added a home run, while Braxton Fulford added two walks. Mason Albright got the start, tossing 5 innings while giving up 2 runs. Righty Collin Baumgartner got the loss.
The Goats weren’t able to bounce back the next game, losing 4-5. Braxton Fulford had two hits, while Bladimir Restituyo added a homerun. Chase Dollander struggled in the start, giving up 4 runs in 4.1 innings. Jarrod Cande put together a solid outing in the bullpen, striking out 4 in 2 scoreless innings.
The Goats lost their third game in a row on Thursday, 1-5. The lineup continued to struggle, collecting only 3 hits. Blake Adams put together a great start, striking out 6 and giving up a run in 6 innings.
The Yard Goats would bounce back on Friday, winning 3-0. Kyle Datres and Bladimir Restituyo each had two hits, while Kyle Datres added a home run. Sean Sullivan put together a fantastic start, striking out 3 in 6 scoreless innings. Zach Agnos got the win, striking out 2 in a scoreless inning.
Thanks to a great Connor Van Scoyoc start, the Goats won 5-2. The bats finally came alive in the series, with Adael Amador, Juan Guerrero, Bladimir Restituyo, and Zach Kokoska each collecting two hits. Kokoska added his 20th home of the year. As mentioned before, Van Scoyoc put together a great start, giving up just 1 hit and 1 run in 5 innings. Zacg Agnos continued to be a save machine, tossing a scoreless inning.
The Goats were able to hold off a late Rubberducks rally to win 5-4. Adael Amador, Juan Guerrero, and Bladimir Restituyo each collected two hits, with Amador hitting a home run. Mason Green put together a solid start, tossing 5 innings of 1-run ball.
Looking Ahead
This week the Yard Goats will take on the Somerset Patriots in the Division Series of the playoffs. The Patriots are the affiliate of the Yankees and have a 75-62 record this season.
